Today, do something that’s not quite like yourself. If your room is messy, clean it up. If it’s clean, make it a mess. If you’re quiet, go make a new friend. If you’re outgoing, spend a day quietly painting or writing. Find the one trait that you feel really defines or holds you back, and go against it. Liberation is beautiful.

Today, I’d like all you beautiful ladies to put on your favourite outfit and go out somewhere that makes you happy. Go for a walk in the park, or to see a movie, or over to a friend’s house. Just put aside how you’re feeling today, embrace how beautiful you are, and enjoy life. Happiness is beautiful.

did you know you can’t “POP your cherry”?  In this video i talk about:

what the hymen really is
how this myth is some sexist bullshit
and how to deal with your hymen the 1st time you have sex.

littleselfia:

She is amazing.

I’m exceptionally pissed off that this is news to me.

I’m really fucking pissed off that I did not know this and it’s my own goddamned body.

pink-mama:

I had a freaking kid and didn’t know this.

lovethroughtheairwaves:

The only reason I knew this is because of the sex talk with my Mom I had about six months ago. It’s awful how many women don’t know this about their own bodies.

ryface:

I consider myself pretty fuckin’ educated about sex, and even I didn’t fully understand what exactly the hymen was and how it works until pretty recently! No one teaches this shit! And that is FUCKED UP.

This is a way more interesting and memorable way to teach this than the way my a&p teacher did. Which is a good thing, especially since this should be taught in 6th or 7th grade sex ed.

Not only was this wonderfully informative it was funny and happy and positive. All Sex Ed videos should be like this one.

TW: Victim blaming, sexual assault
So, my boyfriend is really great. The University of Oregon’s student newspaper wrote an incredibly victim blaming article, and gave it full page coverage in the paper. I wrote a Letter to the Editor in response and posted a link to it on my facebook.
It doesn’t even matter that the other guy is trolling, it matters that I have the most wonderful boyfriend ever.

I once attended a workshop two years ago on education advocacy and budget tracking and one of the things that fascinated me at this workshop was a scenario we had. Participants were asked, “the declining state of our education system, who is to blame? Is it the
